We are thankful for the successful years we have had as we approach our 87th year at L.D. Davis. ### A Bit of History In 1926, the beginning, Louis D. Davis Sr. first started in the stenciling industry. He was almost put out of business quickly by 1939 when a competitor in the stenciling industry developed a new stenciling material, but thankfully he focused on manufacturing and selling their animal glue which they had started manufacturing in the early 30’s. ![Animal Glue Cake](https://blog.lddavis.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1930animalgluecake.jpg?width=441&height=336&name=1930animalgluecake.jpg "1930animalgluecake") From there the company continued to grow in many industries and in many different ways. Now we manufacture over 100 different formulations of our animal glue and lead the adhesive industry in many different applications, including book binding, laminating, and packaging. ### Continuous Improvement Our manufacturing plant is also continuing to grow. In order to better assist our customers and suppliers, we are adding an additional 20,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space onto our existing 80,000 square foot building. With each passing year at L.D. Davis, we faced challenges in new markets and overcome success in constructing adhesives for different applications. We have a great team dedicated to our mission “building life-long bonds” As we continue our growth, we commend our customers, distributors, suppliers and employees. We are thankful to have all of you as a part of L.D. Davis Industries. Well wishes to all and we hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday! ![Thanksgiving Cornucopia](https://blog.lddavis.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/tday.jpg?width=200&height=229&name=tday.jpg "tday") Topics: [Adhesive Products](https://blog.lddavis.com/topic/adhesive-products), [L.D.
