One of our most popular lines of rigid box glues in recent years has been our NW0500 series animal glues (protein glues).
Not only were these products designed by our technical team with equipment operators in mind, but we worked closely with rigid box equipment manufacturers to hit the nail on the head with this cost competitive line of glues.
How do these glues vary from one another? Here, we will dive a little deeper into each of the NW0500 series glues.
NW0500CR
This glue was designed to offer high initial tack coupled with a moderate to fast set time, and clean machining for automatic box manufacturing equipment. It is preserved with a food grade preservative, making it Proposition 65 (Prop 65) certified.
NW0500CR is designed for use on rigid box and laminating equipment (like Emmeci box machines). The glue is vanilla scented. Can be packaged in cartons or loose packs.
Recommended running parameters: Temperature should be set to at least 145°F on the glue rollers, 2-3 mils on the rollers, dilute to 53-56% solids.
NW0560CR
This product is designed to offer high initial tack coupled with moderate to fast set time and clean machining for automatic box manufacturing equipment. This is our go-to cost efficient rigid box machine glue for substrates that are not difficult to bond. NW0560CR is designed for use on rigid box and laminating equipment (like Emmeci box machines).
Recommended running parameters: Temperature should be set to at least 145°F on the glue rollers, 2-3 mils on rollers, dilute to 51-53% solids, works best in climate controlled facilities
The glue is coconut vanilla scented. Can be packaged in cartons or loose packs.
NW0561CR
This is the exact same formula as our NW0560CR (above), just with a different scent. NW0561CR is vanilla scented. Can be packaged in cartons or loose packs.
NW0094CR
This glue is designed to offer an initial aggressive tack with moderate to fast set time and clean machining for automatic set-up box equipment.
While NW0094CR doesn't fall into the "500" series of glues, it is a great solution for rigid box makers looking for an animal glue (protein glue, hide glue) for their more difficult substrates like Film Lam, Soft Touch, Mylar etc.
The glue is vanilla scented. Can be packaged in cartons or loose packs. Can be packaged in cartons or loose packs.
Recommended running parameters at least 145°F on the glue rollers, 2-3 mils on rollers, dilute to 55-57% solids.
