Often times, sales and marketing are the 'face' of a brand. When you fill out a website contact form, read a blog post (we're looking at you!) or call a business with a question, you have already had an interaction with sales and marketing in some way.
The LD Davis sales and marketing team act as the "front lines" of our company. To take a closer look into the department, we wanted to continue our "Meet the Team" series by sitting down with Stacey Kreisler, our Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Keep reading to find out how her team continues to thrive in the ever-changing adhesive industry.
I started in January 2004, so 14 years. When I started, all orders were processed in our Pennsylvania office and my position was customer service.
No two days are the same. On the sales side, I work with our sales team on quoting new opportunities and following up with anything the team needs. On the marketing side, I work with our team on all aspects of digital marketing. Marketing is constantly changing, so our digital presence is always evolving. We receive requests all day either from our live chat feature or an inquiry from the website. The marketing department coordinates with the technical team to see if we can meet the prospects needs. Working within so many different industries certainly keeps us on our toes.
The marketing department is just as important as the sales department to the success of LD Davis. Marketing and sales are both very closely aligned to our strategic goals and values as a company. All web prospects that go to our sales team come to us via the efforts of our marketing team in the digital space. The marketing department wears so many different hats from project management, to telling our story, to analyzing our efforts.
Knowledgeable! Our sales people on average have 15+ years’ experience selling our adhesive products. They are very good at what they do, and often we are brought in at the start of a project to lend our expertise. Since substrates are always changing, it is imperative to have someone with our background helping you choose the right adhesive for the job. Glue may be 1-2% of the cost of your product, but if it does not work you have no product.
Collaboration. We are all individuals who are driven in our own territories, but also thrive in a team environment. Many of our customers are large corporations with many facilities and different sales people handling those facilities. Therefore, sales will communicate their findings in person at our customers facilities. We are all motivated by the thrill of success. Success for the customer, success for us individually and success as a team.
