If you've worked with our Customer Service team, you know their first priority is to offer an outstanding customer experience. They are the front lines of the company, and are fanatics about responsiveness and accuracy.
In October, LD Davis added a new member to our Customer Service team, so we wanted to take a moment to introduce her to you.
For our latest "Meet The Team" post, we sat down with Debra, our Senior Customer Service Representative, to learn more about her professional background, what brought her to LD Davis, and what she likes to do for fun.
I would call it a divine intervention.
I had a job, but had began to see the business taking a downward spiral so I updated my resume and put it out on Indeed.com. My husband is an Office Manager at a local business, and he mentioned to his freight rep that I was presently looking for a new opportunity. He asked if she happened to hear of anyone looking for a customer service position during her visits with her customers to let him know. She told him she did know of someone looking and to give her a copy of my resume and she would see what she could do. She took my resume to Brooks, our VP Of Operations, and the rest is truly a divine intervention.
I knew the first time I spoke face to face with Brooks, Pat and Amy that LD Davis was where I was supposed to work, I just needed them to realize that, haha!
I worked for a company called Home Instead Senior Care. My job responsibility was to schedule caregivers to go into the homes of adult seniors and take care of their needs.
This was the most interesting job I've had because I had never done anything like this. It was unusual because working with customers is one thing, but being responsible for placing an individual in a home to care for another person that wasn’t able to care for themselves, was both stressful but most of the time very heart warming.
To be ready to work for a company that has the best interest of the customer in mind. Our company motto is: do the right thing ALWAYS.
I LOVE THE PEOPLE!!!
I like the fact that I have the opportunity to learn about an industry that I knew existed, but knew nothing about it.
In my short 6 weeks of employment here, I have had the opportunity to go to a company-wide meeting and training. At this meeting I saw the company go above and beyond to show the employees we were important and we all were given a booklet of 28 fundamentals to follow that will help make us continue to be a leader and set us apart in the adhesive industry.
I knew that day that this would be the place that I would retire from.
My husband and I go somewhere big every 5 years for our anniversary. After the first 5 years, we went to Cancun. For our 10 year anniversary we went to Missouri to see our daughter graduate from Army basic training. For our 15 year anniversary we went to the Dominican Republic. And, in just a few short weeks, we will be celebrating our 20 year anniversary and will be heading to Jamaica!
Thus far, I would have to say Cancun was my favorite destination.
Jason Aldean!
I don’t have one……. I love to eat, LOL! My favorite would be anything Italian.
Greys Anatomy
I have two beautiful grandsons, Trevor will be 3 in December, and Brantley will be 1 in February. I love spending time with them as much as I can.
Thank you so much to Debra for letting us pick her brain!
