I'll admit it.
After writing for the LD Davis blog for the last few years, I have become slightly obsessed with reading blogs from companies that work in our industries. Specifically, there are some really fantastic packaging blogs that I've discovered, and share articles from pretty regularly.
While we sell our glues into the packaging industry, and are pretty well versed on the topic, we look to experts to keep us up to date on the latest news coming out of the industry. We are firm believers in taking the time to expand our own knowledge!
Today, we wanted to take a moment to share a few packaging blogs that we think you should be following. We read these often, and think you'll find a great deal of value in subscribing to them too.
The Dieline is one of our absolute favorites! Not only have they published over 18,000 packaging related articles and projects on their blog, but they regularly discuss hot topics coming out of the industry including sustainability, food and beverage, and beauty. Their posts also have outstanding visuals.
An added bonus? If you're looking for a job in the packaging industry, The Dieline has a page specifically for you.
Their mission: Dieline is a bespoke creative platform that exists to serve the packaging community. Our mission is to build a global community of practitioners and to advocate the packaging industry towards more sustainable solutions through creativity and innovation.
Give them a follow. You won't regret it.
The Packaging Digest has been an invaluable resource for us when it comes to staying up to date on the latest news and trends in the industry. Looking for industry predictions for the year to come? Information on newly introduced equipment? Recaps on packaging trade-shows?
You can find all this and more on the Packaging Digest blog.

This is a blog that we've started following more recently, but have quickly become fans of. Not only do they post consistently, their subject matter covers topics that those in the industry will actually care to read.
Their writers take a deeper dive into topics like biodegradable packaging, consumer trends, and branding.
Their story: The key to our success is our proven Consumer First™ approach to brand strategy, design and packaging where we engage consumers to co-create solutions that attract shoppers with incredibly compelling brand stories.
Great stories can be told when you put your Consumer First™. Great stories don’t happen in a vacuum. They must relate to the reader. And the same goes for great brands. That’s why we engage deeply with your consumers throughout our design process. It helps us develop stronger, more compelling, and more relevant branding. And that means a happier ending for your products at retail.
This is a great one for all of your rigid box makers out there.
We are actually members of the AICC packaging association, but you don't have to be a member to check out their awesome blog. Although, we do recommend you look into the benefits of belonging to a trade organization - they're pretty awesome!
This blog is a great resource for insight into not only packaging specific topics (like substrates and equipment), but also insightful articles that can help your management team with leadership, hiring, business stategies etc.
About AICC: AICC represents, and protects, the business interests of the independent sector of the corrugated, folding carton, and rigid box industries. AICC represents a majority of the independent packaging manufacturers and their suppliers. We are dedicated to strengthening the independent’s position in the marketplace through programs and publications that empower our members to compete successfully in a rapidly changing industry and an increasingly competitive and global business environment.
