LD Davis Starch Adhesives

Starch adhesives, commonly known as vegetable glue, are one of the many types of eco-adhesives that we manufacture at LD Davis.  While we are known for our animal glue, or protein adhesive manufacturing, we also manufacture a variety of other adhesives such as water-based synthetic adhesives and starch (vegetable) adhesives.

Hide Glue History

Hide glue is important to us at LD Davis, because we know that it is important to you.  We have been America’s premier and largest hide glue manufacturer for decades.  Our company was founded in 1926, and has changed with the times over the past eight decades, but one factor has always stayed the same- quality hide glue from our manufacturing plant to your application. LD Davis hide glue is useful for a variety of applications and is also referred to as animal glue, cake glue, and protein adhesive.  Some common uses include use as book binding adhesive, set-up box production, and many more.  Hide glue is considered an eco-adhesive because it is totally non-toxic and recyclable.  Once it is recycled back into the natural environment, it will begin to break down in a matter of weeks.

Liquid Glue Comes in Many Sizes

Industrial adhesives are packaged in many different size containers. Most of our water-based resin adhesives, dextrin glues, and woodworking glues are available not only in 55 gallon drums and totes, but also in five-gallon pails. The liquid glues manufactured by LD Davis are water-based, eco-friendly and non-toxic. Not only are five-gallon pails incredibly convenient to use, the glues that are available in pails are easily customizable to fit your adhesive needs.
